Yes ! It's likely something big could be happening on earth, so it's possible that Rose may have found out about it, or maybe it's affecting Pete's world too. Just speculation at this point, nothing real, but it'd be one explanation.

And of course Rose would try to find the Doctor to help her save the day ! (And get in some snuggling, of course, ha.)
