The sounds of stalling cars in snow echo beneath th'window.

Today was-

-a foot or so of snow, a trudge in the cold, a trip to the grocery store, a cancelled concert, a transformer exploding, a power outage, a relocation to the bar, a stay at a friend's house, a call from the power company, a trudge home, and finally warm pajamas and homemade cookies and soon BED, glorious BED with sleeping. The best-laid plans gang aft a-ridiculous, so I will try again tomorrow to get Christmas stuff up and wrapped and whatever. No big. Tonight? Tonight is going to be catching up on some fic and not moving from my spot underneath the heating vent. My gratitude overfloweth. Hope you all are warm and dry and snug.

Hugs,
Orange.

Thank you! Really, we were lucky. We have good friends in the neighborhood and they were nice enough to take care of us! :)

I'm so sorry!!!

I wish you had had a better "snow day"!!!! I love snow, so I was in my element today. I walked down to my neighborhood 7-11 and got supplies (bought most last night in preparation since I knew it was coming) and a hot chocolate. Helped push some people stuck on my hill into parking spots. Just generally enjoyed the pretty outside my window and took care of my sick kitty.

Hope tomorrow is a better day for you!!!

I love snow too! I was all ready for a normal quiet snow day and then it got wacky. Ha. But in the end, we did get a chance to enjoy it a little and even took some cool pictures of the city buried under snow. And there's nothing wrong with a chilly walk to your favorite bar and a big plate of their meatloaf and mashed potatoes. :D

You really had a day, too! Pushing people out of stuck spots, that's really nice of you. I saw a lot of that good-neighbor spirit on my block, too, it makes you feel like you live in a good place.

Hope your kitty is doing better soon!

Do you have a fic masterlist somewhere? I like your line in this post "The best laid plans gang aft ridiculous". My bit like that this Christmas was getting the tree out and part of the base was missing, and then the white tree had turned brown since last year.
