Oh, this is just... gorgeous. Utterly gorgeous. I'm still not 100% on-board with the concept (WHAT WHAT ANGEL!SPIKE!ROSE MY BRAIN CANNOT HANDLE IT WHY IS SHE SO ~MYSTERIOUS~) but every time I even think about pulling away a bit, you draw me right back in with this beautiful prose.
It's quieter than usual, summer haze lying on the neighborhood like a layer of carded wool, fuzzy on the senses.
Just. How do you DO that?
But yeah. To be totally honest, it's VERY weird to see Rose like this. My girl wears her heart on her sleeve, and now... well. It doesn't even beat. I'm really curious to see where you go with this, as it's completely unlike anything I've seen and anything I'd normally anticipate liking. And yet, I'm loving it.
