dogdaysofsummer. G, pre-R/S, young Marauders. Prompt #4 inspired the "royalty" theme, though I admit it's a very loose connection. It's mostly a thin excuse to ramble and have Sirius misbehave.
"You are my little prince, my heir," she'd said, smoothing his black crown into a respectable tangle. It resisted her, like a weed growing thickly in sunlight. "Don't shame me."
