So, modern dentistry.

What do they call those things that go in the novocaine syringe ? Carpules ? My dentist used up three of those on me in the first half of today's drilling, and that much made my hands shake. She was reluctant to use more, so we gritted our teeth (me metaphorically) and powered through. The second half of the drilling was pretty much blocked out by my internal forced-cheer replay of the Buffy musical and my fervent hoping for an out-of-body experience. ON THE PLUS SIDE I DID NOT GIVE UP ANY STATE SECRETS.

TODAY IS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED.

Urgh, dentistry fail! Poor thing. Truckloads of sympathy are headed your way.

I got through some recent dental procedures by lying back and thinking of Torchwood (no matter how many instruments they have in my mouth, it's less upsetting than Children of Earth), but I at least had the benefit of novocaine. You deserve a medal of bravery or something.
