OMG OMG. I just read a first-hand report from KAT-TUN's rehearsals, and apparently Kame's new solo is VAMPIRE-THEMED. WHAT IS THIS I CAN'T EVEN

Sometimes I look out at all the vampire stuff in major mainstream culture now and I boggle a little. There's been a pervasive presence since the Buffy days, even before, but it's everywhere now, and I find that a bit fun. I like the different approaches to the vampire mythology (except the sparkly thing, I will never get on board with the sparkly thing) and that people are playing with it.

Qui est Kame?

The short answer is, Kame is Kamenashi Kazuya, from the Japanese idol group KAT-TUN.

The long version is really really long, and is sometimes hilarious. He's very cool and star-like, until he really isn't. He's got a crazy work ethic and his performances are intense. You can probably tell I spent waaaaay too long on this.

And what are these tween doing in the handbasket with me?

Haha, yes. It's interesting to watch the generation just after your own really get into something.
