Now that I've gotten that chapter out... whoof. I've really dragged this whole WIP thing out too far. I'm abusing the privilege. Hee. Anyway: I want fic ! I want your fic. I have been so caught up in real life and madness that I haven't been reading anything lately, and I. WANT.

So if you've got a minute and a rec or two, I'd love it. I feel bad, I know I've missed so much stuff, and I want to make it up and see what you've all been up to. Forgive my laziness; just think of it as me begging you to pimp yourself. ;) If you haven't written anything you want to share, feel free to send me in another direction or link me to something you've been enjoying.

Ahh, beautiful wonderful fandom. I just want to roll around in it, like a sparrow taking a dustbath. *shakes tailfeathers*

Wheeeeeeee !

How long have you been away from fandom?

You almost certainly know about these, but if somehow you've been living under a rock and not read these, these are the fics I'd consider it a crime to not know:

Anything and everything by Rallalon (now with Teaspoon account, so you can find all her stuff in one place! Her 'A Non-Linear Love Story' may be the greatest Doctor/Rose fic of all time, I kid you not. And if you've never really got Doctor/Jack/Rose OT3, I dare you to read the 'Held at a Distance' series and not cry for them): http://www.whofic.com/viewuser.php?uid=6493

Chaos Theory in Vortex Orbits in Relative Dimensions in Time and Space by earlgreytea68 (BEST. BABYFIC. EVAR!! No seriously, if you haven't read this, YOU MUST READ IT) She's finished writing it and updates twice weekly like clockwork. I was anticipating updates from her even more than the premiere of season 4. Well, almost): http://earlgreytea68.livejournal.com/tag/chaos+theory+in+vortex+orbits+in+relativ

Plus Ones, Remixed by azuredamsel (also finished, or near enough, and updated every Saturday (except she's on a couple weeks' break right now)):http://azuredamsel.livejournal.com/tag/plus+ones+remixed

And finally, the greatest Rose/Ten picspam ever: http://gemstar69.livejournal.com/117375.html

I'd like to say [livejournal.com profile] rosa_acicularis or [livejournal.com profile] biggrstaffbunch, but I'm fairly certain you already read them. Hmmm... Not sure if you read [livejournal.com profile] catsfiction, but she also has some really wonderful stuff. Same for [livejournal.com profile] kalleah and [livejournal.com profile] rabid1st.

Oh, and this fic by Camilla Sandman remains one of my favorites: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3233842/1/.

In terms of my stuff (which I feel so awkward reccing, but hey, why not?), all here: http://salienne.livejournal.com/tag/fanfiction. I'm particularly fond of "Of Discovery and Sacrifice", but "A Final Glance" and "The Coward's Way Out" seem to have gotten a pretty good reception.

And, again, I apologize for pimping my own fic. @_@

And I need less homework, because then I would have time to read and comment on your fic, which is just amazing. *Grumbles about chemistry and the worst creative writing class in history*

Well, I whole-heartedly second beneficia's rec of Chaos Theory, as it is basically the most brilliant babyfic ever created in the history of fandom. Yes.

But, I'm also here to rec the Carlisle Cooperative's "How to Turn on a Time Lord, Lesson 2", which is made of awesome. I fail at LJ, so here's the cut and pasted address.

I was going to joke back but I thought I should instead say....

...that I was late for work this morning because I could not tear myself away from Non-Linear Love Story. I could not put on pants or eat cereal. I think I cried.

It was, quite simply, one of the finest things I've ever read.

Rest assured, I'll be reading and re-reading all of them. MUWWAAHAHA I am rich, rich in fanfiction, I AM THE RICHEST BROAD ALIVE. Oh, how I missed this.

I assure you: I completely understand. Non-Linear Love Story is just... absolutely riveting. It was something that demanded every second of your attention, so nothing else could get through. I was late to class because of it. Twice. I don't regret it in the least.

And, holy shit, The Journey Work of Stars ! It's wonderful. I love that you managed to give Rose an ordinary human life, and then at the end, you set her free to spin around the galaxy again- gorgeous. I love her hesitation when they offer to take her with them- like, no, she's got to do it her way, got to see it through.

You're amazing.

Wasdl;fkasjdf wow. Thank you so much. I'm fairly sure that you already realize how much I absolutely adore your writing, so, really. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. (:

I really love writing Rose. I think everyone has sort of felt what she has in the sense of hopelessness or not knowing what to do with the rest of their lives, but I love that she's the sort of person who will take control, who will pull herself out of that rut of passiveness. Or at least, that's how I view her. Anyways. Thanks for reading and commenting. I really appreciate it. ♥

So well-stated. And, I think, so true. Every time we've seen her stuck, at the end of her rope; she pulls out that last reserve of strength or that last brave smile or that extra push. She refuses to take the inactive role, to merely be acted upon. I love her for it.

And I love your fic for it. :)

Oh heck. You've tempted me into self-promotion.

Lately, I done did this and this. Oh, and that thing about the bananas.

I am, no doubt, very odd.
;)

I am reading the hell out of those.

You have given me exactly what I wanted. Yes ! The bananas thing I caught, because you can never sneak a banana past me. I have a highly-developed sense of banana.

...of course that sentence confirms all the eyerolling my parents did for the first 2/3 of my life. If you are odd, then we are odd together, cookie-pants.
